FASHION JOURNALISM : In conversation with Harper's Bazaar India's Fashion Features Editor, Butool Jamal

Butool Jamal is a fashion journalist with over 10 years with experience at Elle, Femina, and Harper's Bazaar. She is currently the fashion features editor at Harper’s Bazaar, India.  

Butool also has bylines in Vogue, Arts Illustrated, and Not Just a Label and has lent editorial perspective to commercial brands ranging from Eka by Rina Singh to Marico and Tata CLiQ. During her career she has launched a range of fashion events including the first Ethnic Designer of the Year contest at Femina and the Indian edition of the Harper’s Bazaar Asia NewGen Fashion Awards 2019, a South Asia-wide design competition. 

Besides being a fashion features editor, she has also been an assistant curator, researcher, and social media strategic planner.
