World’s largest specialty lingerie brand, Victoria's Secret, opened their doors in India as they launched their first off-line store in Mumbai. FAD Students of the Post Graduate in Luxury & Fashion Management received an opportunity to intern for the launch of the store, as part of their Fashion Retail module.

During the course of the internship, students worked on various aspects such as visual merchandising & sales, which helped convert their theoretical learning into practical work.

Each day was well curated by the VS team wherein the students were given a chance to segregate and arrange the layout of the store as per Victoria Secret’s standards, understand the retail model by placing the stock with the color palette scale in the divided sections to create a comprehensive experience for the customers.

Moreover the students practiced techniques like cross-selling , up-selling and customer relations while dealing with consumers on the day of the launch. Further, in order to understand the Indian consumer better, the VS team also asked the interns about their inputs keeping aside the generic VS store pattern.

Over the years, the sensuous brand has gained immense recognition worldwide while being the jewel in the crown of the lingerie and self -care segment. Having a contemporary yet cutting-edge concept, the Mumbai store is a part of the brand’s current retail drive, known as the, 'Store of the Future'.

Insightful internships like these, upskill the students experience, and FAD aims at putting forth numerous such industry-integrated opportunities for its students.
