FAD Styling Students style an editorial project portraying a fusion of tradition and modernity.
Editorial Shoots, as part of the Fashion Styling & Image Creation Programme, provide students with the platform to experiment with intriguing concepts, push boundaries, and express their artistic visions. FAD Styling Students recently worked on their advanced editorial project 'Modern Maharani', under FAD Mentor & Fashion Stylist - Chandni Sareen and Head of Fashion Photography - Victoria Krundysheva.
The "Modern Maharani" represents a woman of regal bearing, but with an eye for contemporary fashion. She carries the essence of traditional Indian royalty while embracing a global, forward-thinking perspective. The students focused on curating looks that respect the grandeur of royal Indian clothing while adapting it for the modern woman who seeks both individuality and tradition.
Infusing fabrics such as silk, brocade, velvet and more with minimalist cuts and draped silhouettes like sleek gowns, contoured dresses, contemporary capes, and tailored pantsuits adorned with traditional embroidery and prints, drenched in regal as well as metallic hues.
Styled alongside royal adornments like chunky necklaces, statement earrings and bangles, glistening diadems and more. While the makeup being a balance between natural beauty and boldness reflecting a blend of traditional elegance and modernity.
FAD Editorial Shoots are transformative experiences that help students transition from academic learning to the professional industry.
