Vogue India hosts FADTalents

FAD Students explore storytelling & innovation in Indian Fashion at the Vogue Forces of Fashion Exhibit, with insights from Vogue India’s Head of Editorial Content, Rochelle Pinto.



In the fast-paced world of fashion, FAD emphasizes on industry exposure for aspiring talents. FADTalents were recently hosted at the ‘Vogue Forces of Fashion Exhibit’ in Mumbai, a three-day event celebrating Indian creativity and craftsmanship, showcasing over 40 designers.

 


A key moment for FADTalents was their conversation with Rochelle Pinto, Head of Editorial Content at Vogue India. Pinto shared insights on the evolving fashion landscape, emphasizing the role of storytelling and the balance between tradition and innovation. This interaction gave students a deeper understanding of how the fashion industry operates, from the importance of curating impactful visual stories to the challenges of staying relevant in an ever-changing market.



The three-day event celebrated Indian creativity and craftsmanship, showcasing 40 designers who presented collections blending traditional motifs with modern aesthetics. From reimagined prints to intricate couture pieces, the exhibit highlighted the depth and innovation of Indian fashion. Students were able to witness how fashion is a form of art that tells stories, evokes emotions, and pushes cultural boundaries.



The event also offered invaluable networking opportunities, connecting FAD students with designers, editors, and industry experts. This experience reflects FAD’s commitment to bridging the gap between education and real-world exposure, empowering students to thrive in the fashion industry.
